Spring has sprung, temperatures are rising, and daylight savings is in full swing. Time to get on the water and enjoy! As we put the pandemic to our rudder, MDBC is excited to announce our 2021 Spring/Summer schedule of events. We’ll be announcing more details for each outing throughout the next few months. As you’ll see, we’ll have a lot going on with activities every member of your family will enjoy. Please take a look and reach out with any questions. 

May 15th Cruise-Over Picnic: Take a boat ride and join us for a picnic lunch at Lake Griffin State Park. We’ll provide a map along with hotdogs, burgers and refreshments when you arrive. Watch for more details in the coming weeks. 

May 22nd Boat-In Movie Night: Right here in Simpson Cove outside the marina.  Enjoy watching and movie complete with Looney Tune Cartoons from the comfort of your boat.  Watch our FaceBook page as we’ll be looking for some help picking a movie.

June 19th Dinner Cruise to J.B. Boondocks: Just like the one we did in April but to a different destination. Howey-In-The-Hills is a longer boat ride but what better way to spend a beautiful summer evening. 

July 3rd Cook-out & Fireworks: Our most popular event held here at the marina on our back porch and water patio. The City of Mount Dora is planning an extra special fireworks show over the water.

July 13th St. Johns River Cruise to Silver Glenn: A new event for us. We’ll tow our boats over the Ed Stone Park and take a leisurely cruise to Silver Glenn Springs. Watch our “Exploring Our Backyard Waterway’s” video to see why you don’t want to miss this adventure.

July 31st Crystal River Scalloping: Another annual event returning for 2021. This makes for a wonderful day on the water combined with the added perk of catching your dinner! Some folks like to make this a weekend trip.

August 21st Dinner Cruise to Crazy Gator: Located on the northeastern shore of Lake Eustis, it’s a shorter boat ride but again, a great way to enjoy a summer evening with family & friends.
