Early December, at the Marine Retailers of the Americas Annual Convention & Expo, Dealer Week, Mount Dora Boating Center was recognized as one of 21 Great Dealership to work for in North America. It was quite a humbling experience knowing that this recognition came from our staff, based on their answers to 32 questions on an anonymous employee satisfaction survey. Humbling but also gratifying, knowing our people really enjoy working here at MDBC.

As much to our staff, credit goes to you, our outstanding  loyal customers. Because you’re such a great group of people to serve, it encourages our staff to want to do better. They’re genuinely engaged, striving to be better, to meet your needs and surpass your expectations. It’s very rewarding to watch and be part of. 

For our staff to feel this way about MDBC is in large part because of the loyalty, friendship and business you’ve chosen to give us. For that I and our entire staff are eternally grateful. 

MINNEAPOLIS, MN December 21, 2021 — The Marine Retailers Association of the Americas named Mount Dora Boating Center & Marina in Mount Dora, Florida one of the marine industry’s Great Dealerships to Work For, at Dealer Week, the association’s annual conference and expo, held December 6-9 in Austin, Texas. 

“This is a humbling honor given it was determined by how our staff feels about working here at MDBC,” says Joe Lewis, General Manager, Mount Dora Boating Center & Marina. “As much to our staff, we attribute much of this to our customers as well. Because they’re such a great group to serve, it encourages us to want to do better, exceeding your expectations making your boating experiences the absolute best.”

Twenty-one dealerships across North America qualified for recognition by earning an overall score of 90 percent or better on the Marine Industry Certified Dealership Program’s annual Employee Satisfaction Survey. Administered anonymously through the MRAA, the survey asks employees of Certified Dealerships to answer 32 ranking questions about overall satisfaction regarding their unique dealership’s customer relations, employee satisfaction, leadership, management and reputation.

“It’s not a simple feat to earn recognition as a Great Dealership to Work For, but the list has grown to 21 dealerships this year,” says Liz Keener, MRAA Certification Manager. “Despite facing unique challenges in 2021, these dealerships invested in the satisfaction of their employees, built a winning culture and an environment that their employees love to be a part of and look forward to working in. We commend all our recipients on a job well done.”
