MDBC is excited to announce our 2023 Summer, Fall & Winter schedule of events. We’ll be announcing more details for each outing throughout the next few months. As you’ll see, we’ll have a lot going on with activities every member of your family will enjoy. Please take a look and reach out with any questions. 

May

May 20: Cruise Over Picnic to Griffin State Park – Take a boat ride to a picnic lunch at Lake Griffin State Park! We’ll provide the map to the park and hotdogs, burgers and refreshments upon arrival.

June

June 13: St. Johns River Cruise to Silver Glen- We’ll tow our boats over the Ed Stone Park and take a leisurely cruise to Silver Glen Springs. Watch our “Exploring Our Backyard Waterway’s” video to see why you don’t want to miss this adventure.

June 24: Dinner Cruise to JB Boondocks for Father’s Day- Celebrate our dads by treating them to a boat ride and dinner at JB Boondocks. Howey-In-The-Hills is a longer boat ride but what better way to spend a beautiful summer evening.

July

July 3rd: Cook-out & Fireworks – Our most popular event held here at the marina on our back porch and water patio. The City of Mount Dora is planning an extra special fireworks show over the water.

July 29th: Sand Bar Boat-In: Join us for our first ever Sand Bar Boat-In on Lake Dora! Come out, drop anchor, relax, swim, and let us grill you up some burgers and dogs!

August

August 18th-20th: Orlando Boat Show- Come visit your favorite one-stop boating center at the Orlando Boat Show.

August 26th: Dinner Cruise to Crazy Gator- Located on the northeastern shore of Lake Eustis, it’s a shorter boat ride but a great way to enjoy a summer evening with family & friends.

September

September 16th: Cruise to Ski Beach- Join us on our first dinner cruise to Ski Beach! We will depart the marina at 5:30, head across Lake Dora, through the Dora Canal, heading West on Lake Eustis to cruise through Dead River and riding the North shoreline of Lake Harris until we arrive at Ski Beach located in Venetian Cove.

October 27th: Halloween Wine Down: A wine tasting costume party featuring Maggie’s Attic. Their usual wonderful wine selection along with some great costumes made this an amazing event in 2020 & 2021. Should be bigger and better in 2022.

November

November 25th: Light Up Mount Dora: The official start of the Christmas Season in Mount Dora! At night, we’ll be lighting up Mount Dora Boating Center for the 26th year.

December

December 2nd: “Two-Fer”: The annual Lighted Boat Parade will take place as well as our Toys for Tots Night of Lights. From 6 to 9pm, the Marine Corp Reserve will be on-hand to welcome guests into the marina for the donation of a new unwrapped toy or cash donation. Come bring a toy for the kids and see the light display up close! You’ll get some great photos of family and friends with our light displays, scenes, and characters.
December 9th: MDBC Cares Light Nite: Year 3, we’ve partnered with Lake Cares Food Pantry for a Christmas collection event. They’ll be on-hand and to welcome guests into the marina for a canned good(s) or cash donation. Same as Toys for Tots, you’ll get some great photos!
December 16th: On the Water Christmas Movie Night – Come join us as we set up our big screen and enjoy a classic Christmas movie on the water! Watch our social media and help pick what the movie will be.
